Celebrating our 25th Anniversary!

Hello Bisbee anglers,

Things are looking flat out awesome as we enter the final weeks before our 25th Anniversary Tournament. At the time of this letter, overall entry levels continue to track ahead of last year. Further, we now have OVER 30 teams pre-entered in the new MarineMax/Bertram Yacht $5,000. Super Daily Jackpot category which is an additional $135,000.00 PER DAY more than last year. That’s an astonishing $405,000.00 more in overall prize money than last year, and we’re getting more entries for it in each day!

We want to take a moment to up date you on what will be happening next month at the Bisbee’s Black & Blue and Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore tournaments, and remind you to get any additional entry fees you may be planning to mail us in before the October 10th U.S. entry deadline. OUR U.S. OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED AFTER OCT. 10. Please do not send entries to us that may be received after this date! After October 10th, you must enter in Cabo on registration day. There, you must bring cash and/or traveler’s checks. We can not accept checks or credit cards or wire transfers in Cabo.

Before I get into some logistical topics, I want to once again thank those of you who took the time to complete our survey. The input we received was more valuable than anticipated, and we have already made several changes in the tournament’s format. These improvements are due directly to your comments. They include our bettering radio communications and enhancing the tournament functions (captain/angler meeting, Z-Yachts kick-off party and awards celebration) to be much more organized and enjoyable. You’re also invited to the first MarineMax/Bertram Yacht Martini Party by the weigh station after the first day of fishing. Drinks are on them from 6:00 to 8:30. Anyway, please plan to attend the functions, as you will be pleasantly surprised with the changes that will display our total commitment to improve the overall quality of the tournaments. You may also tell your friends and family who can not join us in Cabo that we will be posting daily updates on our http://www.bisbees.com/ web-site.

As for the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament, registration will begin at 3:00 pm. On October 21 next to the lobby of the Costa Real Resort (formerly Plaza Las Glorias). If you haven’t made your hotel reservations for either tournament yet, the Costa Real is offering an excellent angler/guest room rate. You can make your reservations by calling (800) 543-7556. The reservation code to get the discount is “Bisbee”. You may also register for the Pete Lopiccola Billfish Tournament at the same time ($200. per angler entry fee). Both tournaments may be fished simultaneously. This gives you a chance to win even more prizes, and in addition to fishing for marlin, tuna and dorado, you’ll be “Fishing For A Cure” since their proceeds go to Cancer research. Registration for the Black & Blue will be on the marina side of the Puerto Paraiso Entertainment Plaza (same location as last year), and begin at noon on October 25.

How About Some Golf Too
