LOS CABOS OFFSHORE
We're well into the clubhouse turn for our upcoming tournaments and they're shaping up great!
We've got a couple of things we want all of you to be aware of for this year.
TOURNAMENTS
Prior to the 7 a.m. start, 66-teams crowded the start line as the flare rose across the horizon for the second and final day of the Bisbee East Cape Offshore Tournament. Would it be decided in the first inning or last at-bat?
TOURNAMENTS
Winning both Day One and Day Two jackpots, plus getting the heaviest billfish for what is the largest payout in the history of the East Cape Offshore Tournament ever – “Team El Suertudo” collected a whopping $619,800.
TOURNAMENTS
Teams Wild Hooker and True Grit won the extraordinary sums of well over $1 Million each on Days One and Two of the Bisbee’s Black & Blue Tournament in Cabo San Lucas.
Day Three has arrived, and the other 124 teams are looking for the opportunity to stand on the awards stage alongside the first two lucky teams on Sat. Night to accept a similar check. If that happens, it could be three approximately $1.3 Million checks issued on three consecutive days … another world record.
TOURNAMENTS
Team names are always an interesting subject in a highly competitive tournament like the Black & Blue. Many reflect tackle themes, regional loyalty or bravado. Some are clever phrases while others aren’t publishable on a family web site. But all represent the spirit and personality of the individual teams entered. The first day of the 2015 Bisbee’s Black & Blue, with more than $3.515 million on the line, certainly underscored that point.
