Record $5.6 Million Blue Marlin | 2026 Bisbee's Black & Blue Recap

A first-time team, one blue marlin, and a record $5,629,300. Relive the 46th annual Bisbee's Black & Blue, October 21–23, 2026, in Cabo San Lucas. 175 teams fished for a $7,464,250 purse through one of the toughest bites in the tournament's history. El Niño pushed water temperatures past 90°F, and only one marlin cleared the 300-lb minimum. On Day One, Contango's Spartan's Revenge, a Costa Rica-based 60' Viking run by Capt. Jeff Villarroel, hooked a 491-lb blue marlin outside the Gordo Banks. Angler Kevin Miranda fought it for more than two hours, and the fish paid $5,629,300, the largest payout for a single fish in the tournament's 46-year history. 🏆 2026 RESULTS Overall Winner, Top Team & Top Captain: Contango's Spartan's Revenge | 491-lb blue marlin | $5,629,300 Release Division Winners: • A Blueish Hue (80' Trojan, Capt.
