24th Los Cabos Offshore Begins!

LCO time has finally arrived, and our Bisbee Team is confident this will be another one for the record books.

Around two dozen teams arrived for our "Pre-Registration Day," only to realize they were the Guinea Pigs for introducing Bisbee's new "High-Tech Registration Solution!"

This is an APP where you submit your telephone number to any one of the Staff Members who greet you at the door to determine your place in the line. Then instead of roasting in the lovely Baja sun as you wait in the long line to register, you can hang out at your favorite Pub on the Malecon; or browse the remarkable selection of items and services offered, ranging from fishing tackle to award-winning Tequila.

New Canopies

And be sure to check out the fancy-schmancy new canopies adorning the entire layout offering plenty of cover from the Baja sun.

Take your time. No worries. You will be notified by Cell phone when your turn comes in the order you checked in.

Once you return, you will discover the number of stations has increased to accommodate more Teams.

Goodie Bags

The Bisbee Staff also went out of their way to be sure your Team Bags were chucked full of goodies that all arrived on time this year.

Of course, there will be live entertainment to add to the party sp

irit that has been one of the key ingredients throughout Bisbee's 42-year history.

The LCO is always an outstanding opportunity to meet the competition and renew friendships with the many teams that consider it a must-attend affair, regardless of the outcome.

Don't forget that at least one team member must attend the Captain's Meeting hosted by Wayne and Clicerio. They will update you on rules, times, and other event details.

And remember to toast Wayne Bisbee and Company for their ingenuity in coming up with such a High Tech Solution to the registration snafu.

The Zorah Story

Felipe Valdez and the Boys

At 2:53 p.m. on Day One, the radio crackled to life. Felipe Valdez on Team Zorah reported they had hooked a huge Billfish and their location was approximately 40 miles south.

Their battle continued throughout the afternoon, with the Weigh Station receiving periodic updates until the "lines out" was called at 7:00 p.m. Soon after, the Team called in that they had the giant fish alongside and were attempting to get it into the boat.

However, it was not to be…
