Bisbee's Black & Blue 2022 shatters INTERNATIONAL Payout records

At the Awards banquet held on the A.P.I. Cruise Ship Pier in Cabo San Lucas Saturday Night. Wayne Bisbee announced that for the second time in Black and Blues forty-two-year history. There would be three checks handed out exceeding ONE MILLION DOLLARS totaling $7,387,925 of the $11,651,300 the largest amount prize money ever offered in a Sportfishing Tournament!

Those awards went to the following:

Rv Rental check

Third Place Honors went to Team R.V. Rentals for the 344-pound Blue Marlin, which was caught by Michael Ciardullo on board "Vida Loca," which earned his team $1,590,975.

Happy Ending check

Team Happy Ending #208 with Angler Gary Bailey; Owner owner of the boat, "Happy Ending,"  and Angler Dion Beckner; Angler Laurie Beckner; Angler Kevin Burke; Captain Juan Francisco Cessena; Angler Roy Creager; Angler Ryan Latour; Angler Omar Conteras Nunez; and Angler/Mate Jim Willis. They arrived at the scale with a Black Marlin caught by  Dion Beckner in 2 hours and 22 minutes which came in Second Place, with a check for $2,533,250.

HHappy Ending Check

Team EL MEXICANO, with Angler Adrian Ponce de Leon on board the "EL MEXICANO," landed a 461-pound Blue Marlin on the Third Day. This earned him and his team, Angler Adrian Glief Cervantes and Angler Francisco Garcia Rodrigues, the highest amount of the event, $3,263,700.

First Place        Freebird           $114,920.

Wayne Bisbee closed the evening by thanking the large crowd for their continued support of the Bisbee's Tournaments.

The entire Bisbee team looks forward to seeing everyone in 2023 to celebrate the 43rd Anniversary of Bisbee Tournaments. He reminded everyone, "Life is short, so dream big; enjoy the adventure and the journey.

Felipe Valdez and the Boys

At 2:53 p.m. on Day One, the radio crackled to life. Felipe Valdez on Team Zorah reported they had hooked a huge Billfish and their location was approximately 40 miles south.
