  • Targeted species are Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Spearfish, Striped Marlin (Caught over 300 pounds only or caught and released), Yellowfin Tuna, and Dolphin (dorado). Daily trophies and jackpots, with over a MILLION DOLLARS in cash prizes.

42nd Bisbee Black and Blue, Los Cabos, BCS, MX – October 25 - 28, 2022

  • Targeted species are Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Pacific Sailfish, Spearfish, Striped Marlin (Caught over 300 pounds only or caught and released), and Swordfish.

The Bisbee Tournaments began their 42nd season in early August with the 23rd Bisbee East Cape Offshore in Buena Vista, with a record-shattering $1,614,425 cash prizes handed out in early August!

Team STELLA JUNE'S angler, Hugo Pina, boated a 375-pound black marlin on the second day of the three-day event earning the Team a colossal $3,430 per pound payday equaling $1,286,385 of the $1,614,425 shared among the 6 winners of the 97 Teams competing.

This raised the expectations of the Bisbee Teams for another record-breaking year for the two remaining events held in Cabo San Lucas during the last half of October.

Felipe Valdez and the Boys

At 2:53 p.m. on Day One, the radio crackled to life. Felipe Valdez on Team Zorah reported they had hooked a huge Billfish and their location was approximately 40 miles south.

Their battle continued throughout the afternoon, with the Weigh Station receiving periodic updates until the "lines out" was called at 7:00 p.m. Soon after, the Team called in that they had the giant fish alongside and were attempting to get it into the boat.
